Tune into JOTI Radio, the official online radio station for JOTA-JOTI, broadcasting live and non-stop from the United Kingdom. To learn more about amateur radio during JOTA-JOTI, an updated and extended version of our Amateur Radio Handbook available in multiple languages will provide you with guidance and ideas for over-the-radio connection.

Be safe during JOTA-JOTI

We want everyone to have a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience, so here are a few simple ways you can stay safe in-person, at home, or online during the event:

  • Visit the Be Safe webpage for tips about how to stay safe during the event. Watch the video and prepare yourself to be safe online or on the air. Follow the guidelines for how to keep yourself and others safe and take the Safe JOTA-JOTI Pledge.

  • Take the Be Safe online e-learning course available in EnglishFrenchSpanish and Russian to learn more about online safety and get a certificate of completion.

  • Consider these simple Steps to stay safe online and follow the Amateur Radio Code of Conduct to know how to act when communicating over the airwaves.

  • Report any hurtful or inappropriate activity you experience or witness during JOTA-JOTI activities by email to safejotajoti@scout.org. You can also request a Listening Ear support through this email.
